At Baffin, we believe that product testing shouldn’t end in a factory or lab, so we take our product to the most extreme environments on the planet. Knowing that our product succeeds in these places gives us confidence that it will succeed for others, anywhere on Earth.

In May of 2010, Paul Hubner, Chief Testing Officer, trekked to Machu Picchu wearing a pair of Baffins.
The product succumbed to the environment and experience, which some may have seen as a failure. At Baffin we see this as an opportunity to refine and better our product.
Since those shoes failed for Paul, Baffin improved and corrected them so they won't fail for you. This is one of the great examples of why we continue to challenge our product in real-world situations.
Tested in the Coldest Climates on Earth
1979: BORN IN THE NORTH
Where it all begins. Peter Hubner begins production on his first moulding machines in Stoney Creek, Canada.
1982: FOR FAMILIES
Baffin expands product line to offer specific lasts for women's and children's feet.
1996: AS WARM AS IT GETS
The signature "Inner Boot System" is born, allowing Baffin boots to perform in -70°C/-94°F temperatures (and colder!).
2006: POLAR PROVEN
Paul Hubner wears his boots to the North and South Poles, Proven Performace® in extreme environments.
2011: INTRODUCING APPAREL
The Hubner Family crosses the Arctic Circle head-to-toe in Baffin Footwear and Apparel.
2018: LAKE EFFECT EXPEDITION
Mark Hubner continues family legacy by leading a cycling expedition around Lake Ontario; tests new product in extreme Canadian winter conditions.
2018: Baffin Joins Canada Goose Holdings Inc.
